National Defense:

Our number one priority is to defend America and fully fund the global war on terrorism with the best paid, housed, trained and equipped military. I support funding for intelligence, missile defense, stealth weaponry and next generation technology.

Homeland Security:

America is in a war not a lawsuit. I fully support real-time electronic
surveillance of suspected terrorists. Nancy Pelosi wants to read them Miranda rights. The Geneva Protocols should not apply to non-uniformed combatants who murder innocent civilians.

Illegal Immigration:

We can end illegal immigration with secure borders and fair rules for citizenship, including a strict guest worker program. Nancy Pelosi supports “sanctuary cities” like San Francisco that flout the law and create a magnet for illegals. We should honor those immigrants who played by the rules and contributed to our nation, not reward those who broke the law.

Taxes and the Economy:

Tax cuts create prosperity. They have produced record Federal revenues and 4 million new jobs in 36 months. 152 million Americans are working and the 4.6% unemployment rate is the lowest in three decades. Home ownership is at a record high, especially for minorities. America leads the world in productivity and economic growth.

Energy:

Energy independence is critical to America’s future prosperity and security. We need to increase domestic supply and stabilize prices through environmentally safe domestic oil and gas exploration, the construction of more refineries, and the development of new, clean sources of energy, including nuclear power.

Health Care:

America has the best health care system in the world. I want to help make it better. I support improving Medicare with the prescription drug benefit, and I want to ensure access to quality affordable health care with Health Savings Accounts to allow individuals to save tax free for health care. I also want Association Health Plans to allow small businesses to band together to purchase lower-cost health insurance for employees.

Social Security:

I am committed to a safe, strong social security to ensure all seniors receive the benefits they have earned. Since 1950, the worker- to-beneficiary ratio has decreased from 16-1 to 3-1, and in 2018 the system will expend more than it takes in. I support voluntary personal accounts that protect the entire system and guarantee benefits to present seniors while affording younger workers better returns for their future.
